How Can I Build a Blog?
There are many free services out there for building a free blog. One of them is Blogger.com, another one is Wordpress. There are also paid blogging hosts (such as Typepad) if you choose to take that route. If you will be self-hosting a site (paying for your own hosting account) there are many standalone blogging systems out there (commonly called CMS's). Overall there are many available choices for creating a blog, whether free or paid and you should find many different ones available to meet your needs.

Basics: What is a Blog Anyway?
A Blog, or Weblog, is basically an online diary or journal, almost like a magazine or newspaper (with the most current events rising to the top). A blog can be a way of keeping track of your thoughts, or opinions, or views on just about any topic of your choosing.
